Holy Canoli

Ciao,
This morning it was pretty overcast so we decided to walk into town and check out all the shops. Tara and I spent some time looking at all the cool jewelry and knick-knacks and then we met up with the other girls to go to the market to get some food for a picnic on the beach. I decided I needed some time alone and headed off further into town alone. I wandered through some cool neighborhoods and little alleys. Taormina is really awesome. I eventually made my way down to the beach where I parked my butt until it got too chilly to lay out and read. I am getting a little too tan. After resting a bit we all walked into town to get some dinner and watch the Italy versus France soccer match. That was amazing! Jul was right, I have to admit it, I did enjoy watching soccer on TV in Italy. It isn’t all that bad. The bar was crazy! There were people from Holland watching the Holland game facing the right of the bar and people watching the Italy game facing the left side of the bar. It was really cool since the two games determined whether Italy would advance or not. After Italy won it was so exciting to see the kids of the town running through the streets chanting “shove it France” in Italian waving the Italian flag! Hahaha. Tara’s friend, Kaley, is hysterical and she grabbed a flag and joined in the march!!! After the game we came home to get some sleep so we could be well rested for a big day laying in the sun tomorrow. I love being me.
