We made it to Czech Republic!!

Hey! This morning Katie and I woke up at 5:00am and began our trek (taxi to Central train station, bus to airport, plane to Prague, bus to metro, metro to hostel) to Prague, Czech Republic. Having such an early start for a day of traveling is nice but tiring. We made it to our amazing hostel around 11:30am. We have 4 beds, but only need 2, and we have an entire kitchen with a dining room and FREE wi-fi! We were sooo exctied to see an entire apartment. You don't even know. We are so tired of eating out for almost every meal. Except for the wonderful meal that Christina's lover made us last night. He made the biggest and most delicious meal we have ever eaten. He is from Bari, southern Italy, thus he thinks that people must eat tons and tons of food. He cooked lasagna, eggplant parmesan, tons of veggie, chicken marsala and beef marsala and we had dessert. We were so full that both Katie and I had trouble sleeping. It was by far the best tasting food I had had in Italy.

Anyways, after we got situated in our room, we walked over to the local market to pick up some groceries (gotta save money/health where we can). The grocery store was an experience in and of itself. We could not read any of the labels nor determine the prices and the staff seemed less than eager to offer us an assistance. After spending about 30 minutes in the tiny market we ended up with turkey slices(lucky guess), a loaf of bread, some type of mustard, bananas, yogurt, granola and a bottle of water (which again, luckily, wasn't with gas).

Right now, it is about 2:00pm and we are going to take a little nap before showering and getting ready to go explore Old Towne where we hope to take lots of beautiful pictures and find a cute little cafe or pub to eat some authentic Czech cuisine.

The lady who runs the front desk at the hostel is super sweet and was very helpful in giving Katers and I some advice/information about Prague. She even pulled a hidden pamphlet out from under her desk for a company that gives free walking tours of the most important parts of Prague (well, they want tips, but who doesn't right?). We are definitely planning on taking advantage of the tour opportunity so that we become fully educated why Prague is so unique and special. So...being that we are taking these tours, have cameras and are stunning, to say the least, expect some gorgeous photos to be posted sooner rather than later.

While we are enjoying ourselves to the fullest here, we definitely miss home. And for those of you who miss us, we only have 21 days until we are back.
